This might be a silly question, but does anyone think there is any chance that Kodak’s film division might saved in some way? Or is this the definitive end for portra, tri-x, and 4x5 and 8X10 color negative film in general?

i pray to god that is will be saved, as a photography student who gets darkroom class i’ll cry if it goes, seriously.

spuer-sinn.net/blog1/?… — there is some optimism. B/W as a productive, yet increasing part would rather be saved, chrome not.

I only see them now in old camera shops which are rapidly closing. I really don’t think Kodak will continue to keep their film division. Especially since their digital sector is so bad as well.

I’m really not sure. It sounds like film is going to be left to be seized on eBay, at least those types.
